Daily Hadith – 02
Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Allah's Messenger.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).
4. To perform Hajj (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca).
5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.
عن ابن عمر قال قال رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم بني الإسلام علی خمس شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزکاة والحج وصوم رمضان
ابن عمرنے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا اسلام (کا قصر پانچ ستونوں) پر بنایا گیا ہے، اس بات کی شہادت دینا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے اور یہ کہ محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، نماز پڑھنا، زکوۃ دینا، حج کرنا، رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔
